Copyright takedown notices

Effective 2026-05-12

Charthand (operated by Liro Music — Oscar Mattsson) respects copyright. If you believe a chart stored on this service was created from material that infringes a copyright you own or control, send a notice using the details below. We respond to valid notices under the EU Notice and Action framework and, where applicable, the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA, 17 U.S.C. §512).

1. What to include in your notice

A valid notice must contain:

  • Your identification: legal name, postal address, email, and phone number.
  • The work you claim is being infringed (title, rights-holder, and identifying information such as a recording ID or release date).
  • Enough detail for us to locate the allegedly infringing material on our service — typically the chart URL (https://[domain]/charts/<uuid>) or, if you are not a logged-in user, a description sufficient for us to identify it.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the rights-holder, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights-holder.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

2. Where to send it

Designated agent: Oscar Mattsson
Wergelandsgatan 26, 168 48 Stockholm, Sweden
Email: takedown@charthand.com

We prefer email. Notices sent to other addresses may be delayed or missed.

3. What happens next

  • We acknowledge receipt within 24 hours during EU business days.
  • If the notice is complete and the claim is plausible, we remove or disable access to the affected chart while we evaluate. The audio file the chart was generated from has already been deleted (see our Privacy Policy), so there is no copy of the recording to take down.
  • We notify the account that created the chart so they have an opportunity to send a counter-notice.

4. Counter-notices

If your chart was removed and you believe in good faith that the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. Include:

  • Your name, address, email, and phone number.
  • Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  • Your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Sweden, and your agreement to accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

5. Repeat infringers

Accounts that repeatedly upload material we have removed under valid notices will be suspended and may be terminated. We log the date and notice ID against each account so we can apply this consistently.

6. Misuse of the notice process

Knowingly false notices are unlawful and may result in liability for damages and attorneys' fees. Please do not send a notice unless you are confident your claim is accurate.
